Das ist das Programm des Herstellers "McIntosh" im HARVEY Katalog von Mitte /Ende 1961. Man nannte das auch die "Modelle 1962". Im eigenen "McIntosh" Hauptkatalog waren einige dieser Geräte bereits nicht mehr enthalten. Die Periode des USA weiten Versandhandels wurde ziemlich schnell beendet. Dafür waren die Produkte nicht nur zu gut, sie waren für den Durchschnitts-Amerikaner einfach zu teuer.

Diese McIntosh Modelle hier waren nicht so kurzlebig wie bei den Wettbewerbern und der Qualität von McIntosh konnte eine ganze Zeit lang keiner etwas anhaben. Eigentlich waren sie für den Mailorder-Vertrieb zu teuer.

Care in the greatest degree has been devoted on this tuner during research, design, engineering and manufacture. This tuner will receive either monophonic or stereophonic FM broadcasts and will operate through any type of monophonic or stereophonic equipment, including preamplifiers, power amplifiers, tape recorders, etc.
Features: Cascode amplifier with three flat-topped IF amplifiers. Two temperature-compensated discriminators: Narrow band for ultrasonic muting, AFC and tuning meter drive, and a broad band for nearly perfect audio performance. A two-stage, low-impedance, feedback audio amplifier is used for excellent sound quality. New mechanical tuning assembly gives smooth flywheel tuning. Patented circuit with unity coupling and the McIntosh bifllar wound output transformer permits high power with distortion below 1% at mid frequencies. The bifllar windings in the output coils results in extremely tight coupling preventing leakage inductance which causes notch distortion. Silicon rectifiers are provided for quick recovery from overloads without overshoot or blockage, good transient response and complete stability. A thermistor is also built into the MC75 to assure greater tube and component life.
