Wem auch der 400 zu teuer war . . .

Excellent design engineers and modern production facilities have enabled Phase Linear to become the largest manufacturer of high power amplifiers in the United States. Our amplifiers are well known for their state of the art specifications, outstanding sonic performance, handmade craftsmanship and proven reliability. The Phase Linear 200, in that tradition, is the best amplifier you can buy at any price for medium power handling applications. It was designed to complement all high quality bookshelf speaker systems in the efficient to medium efficiency range.
The Model 200 produces a minimum of 105 watts per channel and, typical of all Phase Linear amplifiers, the 200 has a power supply designed to make additional voltage available for brief periods which further reduces clipping.
WHY 105 WATTS PER CHANNEL?
When a loudspeaker requires more power than a receiver or amplifier can provide, "clipping" of the music occurs causing a dull and even distorted sound. This clipping is extremely damaging to your speakers and can eventually destroy them. Even somewhat efficient speakers require the power of the 200 to fully eliminate clipping and allow them to reproduce music like they are truly capable of. All things being equal, the greater the power, the less chance of clipping and the better the music will sound.
.
THE PHASE LINEAR SYSTEM:
By combining the 200 amplifier with the Phase Linear 2000 preamplifier you have the basis of a music system far surpassing the performance of the typical receiver. The system delivers: lower distortion, wider dynamic range, faster transient response and greater flexibility. The Phase Linear System delivers uncompromised sound (a tradition at Phase Linear) at a price competitive with receivers.
When you consider the sonic excellence, awesome performance and unquestionable value, we think you will have to agree with us - the Phase Linear 200 is the best medium powered amplifier you can buy.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
.
POWER OUTPUT
105 watts per channel, minimum R.M.S. at 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than .25% total harmonic distortion. You have enough power to greatly improve your system or start the foundations of a super system.
LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DISPLAY
The Model 200 features the most accurate peak responding metering system available today. We use two light emitting diode displays (L.E.D.) for an instantaneous display of power. They are accurate and visually appealing.
PROTECTION CIRCUITS
The Model 200 is equipped with a highly sophisticated electronic protection circuit which interrupts the amplifier output whenever a hazardous input is present. For example, you could accidently hit your tone arm and not have to worry about speaker damage.
VELOCITY FEEDBACK
A switch is available which will allow for a reduction in current feedback which some listeners may prefer.
