Die in diesem amerikanischen (Freizeit-) Shopping-Magazin angepriesenen Hifi- und Video-Produkte waren auschließlich amerikanischen und kanadischen Militärangehörigen zugänglich - also zu kaufen - und vor allem zu ganz ungewöhnlich (verblüffend) niedrigen US $ Military-Preisen. Zu der einführenden "off duty" Seite geht es hier lang. - Um 1970 begann der weltweite Hifi-Boom bis zum 1. Crash 1978 und dann wieder zum 2.Crash um 1990. Eine Auflistung der US-Exchange military Preise (aufsteigend)
Diese Militär-Preise waren selbst in 1985 noch irre (niedrig), weil der Dollar gegenüber der DM und dem yen so kräftig gesunken war. Die Japaner mussten wirklich überall "die Hosen runter lassen", sonst hätten sie in diesem Military Markt - wie auch auf dem US-Inlandsmarkt - gar nichts mehr verkauft.

In dieser Liste sieht man nochmal die ausgeuferte Produktvielfalt, die ein normaler US-Soldat gar nicht mehr beurteilen oder abschätzen konnte, wir Deutschen übrigens schon lange nicht mehr. Selbst die Hifi-Händler bei uns bzw. die "Audio-Berater" (=Verkäufer) in den Audio-Clubs waren völlig überfordert und durften und sollten nur noch die Produkte ihres Herstellers anpreisen.
